SUBLUXATIONS
Your chiropractor may tell you that you have a subluxation, or misalignment. This is reduced function of a joint. It occurs when joints or vertebrae lose mobility or shift position. Nearby muscles, nerves, and discs can also be affected. Pain often results. Common causes of subluxation include poor posture, accidents or sports injuries, or sudden twists and movements.
